Telemental Health
Telemental health utilizes telephone and/or online video conferencing platforms to deliver counseling services. I solely offer counseling through these mediums, and hold state licensure and national certification to offer telemental health services.
While counseling through the use of technology might feel unconventional to some, telemental health provides flexibility and reduces barriers to receiving professional counseling services. Clients are able to attend sessions in the comfort of their own home or other location of convenience. Counseling within the virtual office translates components of face-to-face counseling to the online format; a private setting free from distraction and other people offers space to share and discuss sensitive material, and client paperwork is stored on HIPAA-compliant platforms to maintain confidentiality.

What is BC-TMH?
I hold a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider credential. It is not a requirement for counselors who use telehealth as a delivery platform. However, it helps to ensure that counselors have the knowledge and proper training to offer counseling through these mediums.
